Center for treating chest pain

Severe chest pain can be a symptom of heart disease, so if it persists, it is important to seek medical attention to determine an underlying cause. In more serious cases, chest pain could be the first signs of a heart attack.

Knowing the symptoms of a heart attack can save lives. Women may have atypical symptoms, such as pain in the arm, neck or jaw. Call 911 if you experience any of the following, especially in combination:

  • Chest pain with burning, pressure or tightness
  • Cold sweat
  • Dizziness
  • Heart palpitations
  • Nausea
  • Pain in the arm, neck or jaw
  • Paleness
  • Shortness of breath and difficulty breathing
  • Vomiting
  • Unexplained anxiety

  • Weakness or fatigue
